The Mound of Dumnoval - A Free 'The One Ring' Starter Adventure

"Woldsend is a small hamlet, a cluster of a few farms inhabited by sturdy Hobbits. Their problems begin with the disappearance of a cousin (twice-removed) of the respected Hob Bolger. Next, Hob’s daughter Camillia did not return after dark. Afraid of the disappearances, the hobbits now stay in after dark. No more late-night food, joy and merriment! From behind their small windows, they can see lights in the distance, near the river bank. And every night the numbers of lights grow."

The Mound of Dumnoval is an adventure for The One Ring 2E RPG - Published by Free League  - aimed at both new Loremaster and players. It's playable in approx. 2 sessions with people new to the game. To run this adventure you only need the core rulebook. The PDF features 9 pages of adventure, including custom Adversaries and expanded Old Lore. Consequences of failed rolls are given to help you as the Loremaster to move the story forward. A couple of storylines avoid your players feeling railroaded. 

The adventure guides you through running a game of The One Ring: Most of the basic mechanics are featured throughout the adventure - with references to corresponding pages in the rule book. 

With actual combat, this adventure is a bit more dangerous compared to the ones in the Starter Set.
